Here's another great read from EBook Pro. This one is The Giant and the Dwarf. This is another book that
relays a great message and is a must read.
The Giant and the Dwarf by Dov Yanai is a story about a brother and sister
who love each other very much. Even though the brother isn't actually a
giant to his little sister he is. I'm sure we all remember a little how
when we were small most everyone seemed to be giants to us.
I
also got out of the story that even though we may be different we are
all still capable of love. Also, we shouldn't treat other different just
because they aren't what we think is "normal". Everyone deserves to be
loved and treated with respect.
Book Description
Can one be a Giant with no Dwarfs around?
A captivating tale for adults
The Giant and the Dwarf is a captivating tale for adults about the journey to, and the burden of, self-empowerment. The plot, moving, catching and heart gripping, shifts between reality and the fairy world, gaining insight from both. The story and its direct and innocent style crosses the boundaries of personal inner space, allowing every reader to look at the Giant and Dwarf within them, along with their strengths and weaknesses, through the eyes of both a child and an adult alike.
The book 'refuses' to move in a set path of any one genre and walks a fine line between a sweet-fluffy children's tale and a painfully biographical spiritual guide.
This fuzziness enables the reader to devote themselves unreservedly to the story with judgment of neither the story nor themselves, instead of experiencing the journey to the fullest.
The meaning of the relationship between Giant and Dwarf unfolds growth processes and expands awareness.
We are all part of this voyage to Self Growth, which demands a connection with pain and weakness, as well as with innocence and positive attitude.
˃˃˃ From the book
He felt a blend of lightness and sadness; lightness for having less of the Dwarf on his shoulders, and sadness for being less of a Giant."You said there were Giants without Dwarfs on their shoulders," he blurted at the old man, again. "How can one be a Giant without a Dwarf on their shoulders?"
"For that you'll have to grow the Giant within you," answered the Wisest of the Wise.
"How does one do that? How does one grow the Giant within?"
˃˃˃ Grow the giant within
The main message:"Grow the giant within" raises essential life questions touching us all, both as individuals and as societies:- Can one be a Giant with no Dwarfs around?
- Is our ability to feel Able and Great forever dependent on the person facing us?
- What is the secret behind authentic and indefinite Magnitude that relies solely on its ability to exist and grow within one?
