A Fun Filled Day at Schlitterbahn Water Park

I recently made a post telling you about Schlitterbahn Water Parks.  Well, I was fortunate enough to receive a admission into the  Schlitterbahn Water Park in Galveston, TX.

Fortunately we decided to go yesterday rather than today because of the weather which was completely horrible. So I'm glad we had a beautiful day to enjoy all the water park has to offer.

This is what greeted us as we got into the Water Park.  It had such a fun feel to it from the the start.

The first stop we made was to rent a locker.  It was really easy to accomplish this.  The cost to rent a locker without a time limit on it (which is nice especially if you are staying all day) was $10.  $8 was for the rental and $2 was for a key deposit which you received back once you return your key.  At the same we purchased Splash Cash which is a chipped bracelete and you load it with any amount you would like that way you don't have to worry about keeping track of cash or your card.  WIth Splash Cash you can purchase anything in the gift shops or food booths.

When you go I suggest taking sunscreen as you will be getting a lot of sun while having a blast.  Also if you would rather not purchase food there, which isn't priced real high, you can bring a cooler with food and drinks (just no glass).  There are plenty of places to sit and rest from playing.

Check out some of these pictures I was able to capture while there.

These are from the lazy river.  Ok, I have to admit that this was my favorite part of the water park.  It was nice and relaxing just floating around and relaxing!

These are just a few of the attractions.

This one is the Cliff Hanger.  I didn't go down it but that is my boyfriend coming down it.  He said it was a blast and a rush!

They even have areas for your little ones to have fun and enjoy their time there too.

For a fun filled day these are some of my suggestions that you should keep in mind:

1. Have a good sunscreen to apply and reapply as needed.
2. Drink plenty of water!
3. If you don't want to walk around barefooted bring water shoes.
4. Most important have fun!!

I know there are other things that should keep in mind but these are the main ones in my opinion.
There are also plenty of staff and lifeguards around if there is an issue.

Here are the locations of Schlitterbahn Water Parks:

Every park has a claim to fame:
New Braunfels: World's longest tube ride; America's Favorite Waterpark
South Padre: World's first Transportainment system where interconnected rivers are queue lines for rides.
Galveston: World's favorite indoor park
Kansas City: Midwest's longest tubing adventure, and home to the World's Tallest Waterslide
Here is a video from our ride down Torrent River and Whitewaters.
